Materials & Spares Assurance Manager (MSAM)

Make material readiness a live, connected model — from the site, store and material master, through stock positions and demand, to the reservations, staging and receipts that make a demand ready (or the shortage that refers it to procurement), plus the repairable units and their repair cycles.

Its central question:

For each material demand from work, a shutdown or replenishment, is stock available and reserved, staged and ready in time — and if not, is the shortage referred to procurement and being closed by a receipt?

MSAM is the materials member of the Work & Supply reference network: it owns the material master and the demand → reserve/stage-or-shorten → receipt → readiness lifecycle, receives work demand from mwem, refers shortages to psam, and shares canonical_ref identifiers with amia/mwem/psam/scrm so records link across apps. All demo data is fictional.

The readiness spine

SiteRef / StockLocation → Material → StockPosition → Material Demand → (Reservation + Staging → READY | Supply Shortage → REFERRED → Material Receipt), with Repairable Unit → Repair Cycle as the repair-exchange loop alongside.

The documents

Page What's in it
00 — Overview What the app is, the domain, the 13 models by area, the demo scenario
01 — Quick Reference Run/seed/regenerate commands, the menu map, every model, status vocabularies, the demo data set, cross-app canonical_ref conventions
02 — System Diagram The materials-readiness data model as a diagram (+ interactive viewer), the cross-app golden thread

Status

Built: all 13 models render as an AI-Safe CRUD register, seeded with one coherent Work & Supply materials scenario (32 rows across 11 models) — a shortage referred to procurement, a fully staged/ready line, an issued reservation, a consignment replenishment, and a repairable out on its repair cycle.

Phase 2 (not built): the runtime event publisher behind EventOutbox and the live orchestrated routing — MSAM currently carries the model, the shared identifiers and the seeded end-state, not the running engine.

Prototype system; draft. All materials, stock, demand, receipt and repair records in the demo data are fictional; values demonstrate structure only.
